Sep 10 2021
Hello, my name is Justin, and I was born and raised in Fort Wayne. I come from a large family. In total, I have eight siblings.
The Literacy Alliance offices will be closed, and no classes will be held from Tuesday, December 24, 2024, through Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Regular office hours and Project Graduate (GED/HSE) classes will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025. Project Connect (ELL) classes will restart on Monday, January 6, 2025. From our families to yours, have a safe and joyful holiday season!
My name is Meshia, and I am 21 years old. I am from Fort Wayne, Indiana. I have one brother and four sisters, and I also have a daughter.
I came to The Literacy Alliance to change the lifestyle I have for my daughter and me, to be more successful, and to prove to myself that I can finally accomplish something in life. My past experiences in schools just weren’t great. I have a sick mother, so I felt like I just couldn’t do it. I just wasn’t going to make it in life.
My experience with The Literacy Alliance has been a positive one. Having teachers see your growth and showing you different things about yourself is a good motivation to keep you going.
No matter how much I wanted to give up, I continued to fight for my education because, in the end, my story starts with me making a change for myself. You can do it too!
