Holiday Closure: We’re taking a break to celebrate Independence Day! The Literacy Alliance will be closed on Friday, July 3. Enjoy the long weekend, and we’ll see you when we’re back!
My name is Larry, I am 52 years old, and I was born in Louisville, KY. I now call Fort Wayne home, where I have two siblings and three children. I work for a manufacturer here in Fort Wayne.
I came to The Literacy Alliance to learn and earn my GED. I attended New Albany High School in New Albany, IN, made it to the 11th grade, and eventually dropped out to work. I am proud to say I passed my GED on 6/1/2026.
I truly enjoyed my time with my teacher and volunteer tutors who helped me learn and understand the material I needed to brush up on to pass my GED. This was an awesome and welcoming experience, and I am grateful for every bit of it.
I hope to earn higher advancements at my current company or move to a better opportunity somewhere new now that I have my GED in hand.
If you come to The Literacy Alliance and stick to your guns on your goals, there is great help here waiting for you. You can and will reach your goals. Believe in yourself and don’t give up.
