Regular office hours and Project Graduate (GED/HSE) classes will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025. Project Connect (ELL) classes will restart on Monday, January 6, 2025. From our families to yours, have a safe and joyful holiday season!
My name is Damion. I am twenty-three years old, and I’m from Bryan, Ohio. I have two younger siblings, a brother, and a sister. I have one child myself, and my girlfriend has three. Together, we have one child. I currently work at a fast-food restaurant in Fort Wayne and am excited to soon get a home with my family and start a new career.
I went to a couple of different schools growing up, and honestly, at one point was not very focused or interested in learning or even being at school. Although while attending The Literacy Alliance (TLA), I have accomplished being more focused in a classroom setting, which has made learning an exciting part of my life and motivated me to complete other goals.
My experience at TLA has been absolutely life-changing. Not only am I now focused and interested in learning during class but also in my future career and goals. I have overcome many learning obstacles and life complications with The Literacy Alliance.
After obtaining my high school equivalency (HSE) diploma, I plan to attend a barber school. At the same time, I continue making my other hobbies a career, those being tattoos, piercings, and music. These give me several more interesting life goals to focus on.
I think life will become much more exciting after I find a nice home with my family and get my diploma. I highly recommend The Literacy Alliance to finish high school if that is your goal. I am very thankful for the help and support received from the teachers and the people you are surrounded with here. If you have decided to get your HSE diploma and have chosen to do so with The Literacy Alliance, I hope your experience goes as well as mine has and that you push yourself to accomplish all your life goals.
Update: Damion accomplished his first goal and received his high school equivalency (HSE) diploma in May 2022! We can’t wait to see what he accomplishes next!
