Hello, my name is Courtney, and I’m forty years old. I was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I have three brothers and two sisters, and I’m the youngest of my mom’s kids. I have a wonderful wife, and I’ve been with her for eight years.
I got myself in some trouble a while back and decided that school would be a good way to stay out of the streets and do something positive with my spare time. My experience here at The Literacy Alliance has been fantastic, and the tutors are more than helpful. I have come a long way, considering I’ve been out of school for over twenty years.
“I have come a long way, considering I’ve been out of school for over twenty years.”
I have not decided on going to college once I receive my high school equivalency diploma; I’ll probably take my wife on vacation and talk it over with her to see what she thinks, but most likely, I’ll go to college in the near future.
I’d recommend The Literacy Alliance to people; such nice staff and tutors and the teachers work hard to always get the best out of you.
Update: Courtney passed the high school equivalency exam HSE at the end of September 2021!
