The Literacy Alliance offices will be closed, and no classes will be held from Tuesday, December 24, 2024, through Wednesday, January 1, 2025. From our families to yours, have a safe and joyful holiday season!
Hello. My name is SayKri, I am 19 years old, from Thailand, and I have three siblings. I am not married, and I work at a local manufacturer.
I came to The Literacy Alliance because I wanted my high school diploma. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it through high school; I dropped out in 9th grade to help my family with work. So far, I have accomplished some of my goals by improving my reading.
My experience at The Literacy Alliance has been excellent. The teachers were nice; they gave me the materials I needed to learn to prepare for the test.
Never give up on your dreams; always do what you must to achieve what you want.
Once I obtain my high school equivalency (HSE) diploma, I plan to find a college and study mechanics. I’m sure I will be able to do it with the help of my teacher and tutors. I work 12-hour shifts and then come to class after work. If I can do this, all of you can do it too. Never give up on your dreams; always do what you must to achieve what you want.
SayKri completed his first goal and obtained his HSE diploma early in 2023. We can’t wait to see what he’ll accomplish next!
