Matt Wire
Matt Wire joined The Literacy Alliance in April 2020 as the Director of Communications and advanced to his current role as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer in September 2021.
Having earned his GED in his late thirties and graduating at the top of his MBA program, Matt has a deep appreciation for the transformative power of adult education. Proudly describing himself as a “high school dropout with an MBA,” he often shares his story to inspire TLA’s students. Alongside his work championing TLA’s mission, Matt mentors aspiring graphic designers as an adjunct instructor. In the fall of 2024, he took another step in his educational journey by pursuing a Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University.
Matt has been happily married for 26 years. In his free time, he enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, exploring the outdoors, and indulging his passion for cooking—what he playfully refers to as “playing with knives and fire.”
