Tanisha Causey

Tanisha Causey

Tanisha joined The Literacy Alliance in September 2022 as an instructor for the Project Graduate program. She is a native of Chicago, IL, who relocated to Fort Wayne as part of a company merger.

She attended Taylor University Fort Wayne (TUFW) until the school closed in 2009, and later Crossroads Bible College, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Ministry in 2017. In 2020, she earned her master’s in organizational leadership from Huntington University.

Tanisha is an active community participant and loves serving her church.  Her most memorable internship was counseling families through suffering, grief, and loss as a chaplain intern. Her most enjoyable volunteer experience was facilitating parenting classes that promote strong families in our community and local schools.

She loves inspiring hope and encouragement, especially that results in an “I can!” and “I believe!” mindset. She is passionate about personal growth and overcoming barriers to surpass what once seemed impossible. She has two amazing daughters, Kaila and Brianna, whom she loves spending time with and enjoys reading, gardening, having great conversations, and playing pickleball.
