Mike Jackson
Mike Jackson is an outreach coordinator and site coordinator at TLA (The Literacy Alliance). He has spent 15 years assisting students with reaching their educational goals in the secondary and adult education industries. Specializing in case management and outreach strategies, Mike currently uses that experience to supervise activities at an adult learning center, maintain community linkages, and collect student data for reports to funders.
By promoting positive change in others, Mike has put the Bachelor of Social Work degree he earned at Ball State University to good use. Mike is at his best when he uses his creativity, communication, and organizational skills to move others to action toward lifelong success.
Over the years, Mike’s strengths have garnered some recognition for his efforts in writing funding proposal plans for laid-off workers to be retrained, presenting career content to audiences in an engaging and meaningful way, successfully project managing the Re-Employment Assistance program with the Department of Workforce Development, processing adult ed students through orientation, and developing important relationships with TLA partners to generate new referrals.
When he’s not at TLA, Mike enjoys spending time with close relatives and friends and traveling to experience new places and events. In addition, he finds fulfillment from participation in various church activities.
