Amy Mohr

Project Graduate teacher, Amy Mohr

Amy received her bachelor’s degree in secondary education with an English minor from Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne. She promptly started teaching social studies and English at North Side High School. She then earned her master’s from Indiana Wesleyan.  After the birth of her youngest, she took a break from teaching to raise her young family. It was during this time that she was introduced to The Literacy Alliance through a friend at church, and it’s been a love affair ever since. She has been a high school equivalency (HSE)/Project Graduate teacher with TLA for over fifteen years. Adult education is Amy’s passion, and she believes her life’s mission is to help people improve the quality of their lives through education.

Amy has been married to her husband, Rich, for 26 years, and they have three adult children and one grandson. In her spare time, she enjoys working outside in her flower and hosta gardens, playing board games and Euchre with family and friends, and riding her bike.
