Nikki Minarik
Since March of 2023, Nikki Minarik has served as the volunteer and event coordinator at The Literacy Alliance. She attended Purdue Fort Wayne and graduated at the top of her class (top five in the communications department) with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a minor in Public Relations in 2022. She also has an associate degree in general studies from Ivy Tech Fort Wayne.
Before joining TLA, Nikki spent five years substitute teaching with East Allen County Schools and served several non-profit organizations. Her most interesting volunteer role was as the Harlan Days Parade Coordinator. She now volunteers as part of the Harlan Days Festival Committee and assists where needed. Nikki’s knowledge is infused with lessons learned as a volunteer and leader within the community. She is passionate about giving back to her community and truly believes we are one story away from understanding each other.
Nikki served in the United States Air Force out of high school, where she met her husband. She and her husband, Jason, have been married for almost 20 years and have two children: Logan and TaylorAnn. She enjoys putting her pastry art talents to work, reading, and traveling with her family in her spare time. Rounding out her family are Webster and Ziggy, their much-loved fur babies.
