Community Impact

Since 1972, the Fort Wayne region has generously supported The Literacy Alliance’s programs through commitments of time and money. Donors and volunteers are vital necessities as The Literacy Alliance works to empower students in our community through these free programs:

  • Project Reads (K-3 Reading Program in Allen County)
  • Project Build (Adult Basic Education classes in Allen County)
  • Project Graduate (High School Completion Classes in Allen, Adams, and Wells Counties)
  • Project Connect (English Language Learners Classes in Allen County)
  • Project Aim (Corporate Training in Allen, Adams, and Wells Counties)

As our programs grow, our need for individual, corporate, and community support increases. Your gifts help us meet our goal of ending illiteracy. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. Approximately 78% of our expenses are directly related to the cost of programming.
