A Night at the Library is an evening celebrating learning, community, and the power of stories, all in support of The Literacy Alliance and the Friends of the ACPL. This signature fundraising event brings the library to life after hours with an atmosphere filled with creativity, connection, and purpose.
Enjoy an evening of delicious food, engaging experiences, and meaningful impact, including an online auction and special opportunities throughout the night to support literacy and lifelong learning in our community.
Live Art Experience
Watch as artist America Carrillo creates a one-of-a-kind artwork live during the event, which will be featured in the auction alongside a few additional surprises.
Guided Tours and Exploration
Take part in guided tours and enjoy exclusive after-hours access to explore the library in a whole new way.
VIP Behind-the-Scenes Tour
Upgrade to the VIP Experience and step into a rare and intimate literary journey. Limited to just 60 guests, this exclusive behind-the-scenes tour offers a guided experience through the library’s lower levels, including the Fine Books Room, led by the Director of Special Collections, Curt Witcher, along with a unique look at federal government documents with Jacob Schmotzer, the library’s Federal Government Documents librarian. VIP guests will enjoy exclusive access to treasured holdings, including historic government documents and materials seldom seen by the public. This is a unique opportunity to encounter history, craftsmanship, and discovery in an atmosphere of intrigue that is not to be missed.
